World's first Centre for Doctoral Training will focus on the improvement of agri-food robotics.

The University of Lincoln, University of Cambridge, and the University of East Anglia have teamed up to build the world’s first Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) that focuses on agri-food robotics.

Furthermore, CDT will pave the way for high-level robotics expertise to enhance the agri-food industry. Also, it will support 50 doctoral students in areas such as autonomous mobility in harvesting, soft robotics, and co-bots in farms and factories.

Moreover, as the global food chain experiences challenges from population growth and climate change, CDT will collaborate with researchers to combat these challenges.
