Forest conservation training paves way for awareness to Ghanaian farmers

Farmers in Ghana underwent a training on how to protect farms from bushfires and forest conservation.

27,000 farmers from the different regions of Ghana have participated in Sustainable Land and Water Management Project (SLWMP) to enhance agricultural production and raise awareness in forest conservation.

Furthermore, the said project offered management practices in intercropping, crop rotating, afforestation, mix cropping, folder banks, and bush fire prevention. Also, the project aims to decrease the rate of soil erosion, soil infertility, and bushfire.

Moreover, the farmers also train on how to protect their farms from these risks.
