The North Okanagan Institute in Canada organizes a free monthly sessions and workshops to tackle aquaponics, the art of raising fish while growing plants.
Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture and hydroponics. This system works best to increase food supply in local communities. To continuously support backyard farming, this would encourage people to grow their own food at home.
Furthermore, the institute offers free training on how it works and how a person could install it easily at home. It also helps people understand the relationship between plants, animals, water, and bacteria.
