Teagasc Agricultural College and Microsoft sign a memorandum of understanding to further advance Irish agriculture to modernization.
The said agreement starts with providing students with remote internet connectivity to gain access in digital technology while working in the fields. Moreover, this project would allows rural communities to work with innovative technologies such as AI and data analytics.
In years time, Ireland would have high-speed broadband access across farmlands that would lead to high standards of sustainability. Also, student will have an extended knowledge on farm and technology utilization using their handheld devices.
This initiative would pave the way for Irish agriculture to be a game-changer for farmers in a cost-effective way.
