The World Bank lent Bangladesh with $500 million to boost the agricultural productivity and nutritional level of foods through livestock improvement.
Dubbed as the Livestock and Dairy Development Project, it will help smallholder farmers and medium-scale agro-entrepreneurs to gain access in the market. Moreover, it would help stir the growth for services and practices in the sector.
As the country faces threats against climate change, the said project would also help ensure farmers’ productivity and insurance in the sector.
