Vinay Nangia, an agricultural hydrologist, initiates a project that would help farmers in Jordan, Egypt, and Morocco to limit irrigation on mixed farming systems.
What project is this for?
This project would seek opportunity in water conservation depending on the type of farming that a country has. With this, Mr. Nangia together with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in U.S. develops a nozzle for drip irrigation purposes.
Furthermore, this nozzle will pump water with low pressure ranges. Low pressure water pumps would also reduce water wastage and flooding irrigation. Also, it will help conserve underground water supplies and preserve soil’s health.
