Yara, a leading fertilizer company, launch a precision farming tool that would allow farmers to measure the nitrogen demands of plants using smartphones.
Called as Yaralrix, this tool has an application, smartphone clip, and a Bluetooth N-Tester that could detect the nitrogen demands of crops through the camera of a mobile phone. Furthermore, this tool will pave the way to produce more food and reduce the environmental impact of farming.
The device itself could also measure the chlorophyll level of the crops to make a precise measurement of nitrogen input. Also, it provides a real-time recommendation on how much fertilizer the crop may need.
Moreover, this device could eliminate the fear of farmers on buying expensive tools to improve crop yields.
